Joyce Geleynse

Joyce Geleynse has been a Professional Artist for over twenty-five years, beginning her career by creating custom portraits in pencil and pastels. In addition to portraiture, she created many custom paintings and drawings of Animals, homes, and Farm scenes. Her favorite mediums are pencil and Oil pastels.

Working from Ontario, Canada, Joyce began developing a large body of illustrative work while not drawing for other people. She uses this extensive Library of work to create cards, bookmarks and prints.

Soon her images were being used to create products on web sites such as Zazzle and other Print On Demand sites. She also opened several Etsy stores where she sells her images as digital downloads.

Joyce's emphasis has always been on creating highly realistic drawings and paintings. she has a great love for good drawing, and has taught many students the skills of good draughtsmanship as they came to her studio for instruction.

Currently most of Joyce's efforts are expended in creating detailed pencil drawings as well as illustrations in both black and white and color. She still does custom work, but on a more limited basis than in the past. Much of an artist's creativity comes from having fun and freedom with their artwork. In her studio, Joyce is able to have free reign over what she creates each day.

Joyce has five grown children and 17 grandchildren. Her grandkids serve as inspiration for much of her work, including a line of clay babies she has created using polymer clay. These clay babies are one of the biggest sellers in one of Joyce's Etsy stores.
