Petr Jilek

Petr Jilek is a Photographer who lives in the Moravian town of Freiberg in the Czech Republic with his wife and daughters. He has devoted more than a decade to photographic arts, while working in civil reclamation.

Petr discovered his love for Photography in 2003 with his first Kodak Camera, which he upgraded within a year to a compact Sony camera, followed by an advanced version of the same. Within two years he purchased his first SLR camera and lenses, and began shooting photos professionally, primarily focusing on landscapes and Product photography.

In the short period between discovering photography and making the leap into the Professional realm, Petr studied a variety of techniques and learned how to be more Creative in his use of both natural and artificial Light, composition and photo processing. More than a decade later, Petr still finds room for improvement in his photography and has expanded his subjects to include Animals and Food along with his continued interest in Landscape and product photography.

Petr looks upon his photographic career as a journey, one on which he has met many wonderful people, made friends, has seen many amazing sights and experienced beautiful moments, which he would not have otherwise had the opportunity to experience. He is excited about photography and creating pictures that people love.
