Hans-Joachim Schneider
A German practitioner of both Western and traditional Chinese medicine, Hans-Joachim Schneider was born in Stuttgart in 1958. In addition to studying Modern western medicine, Hans-Joachim spent much of his early life training in traditional eastern treatments including two years of Acupuncture with Dr. Le Huang and an eight month internship of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Kulmbach. Since 1986 he has continually practiced and lectured on acupuncture and naturopathy at various Schools and institutions, as well as writing several books on the subject.
As part of his studies, Hans-Joachim became fascinated with the various medicinal plants, spices and foods used to treat ailments and extend life. When he took up Photography in 2007 it was only natural for him to focus his efforts on these things.
Hans-Joachim's portfolio is an extensive collection of plants used for medicinal purposes, as well pictures of the spices and foods these plants can be used to produce. In addition to his images of plants, Hans-Joachim spends a great deal of time photographing other elements of Nature including landscapes and Animals.
