About Gillian

Gillian has enjoyed art from a very early age - scribbling on the wallpaper - and had her first camera, a Kodak Brownie, when she was about 9 years old. A family friend taught her how to develop and print. She knew she'd enjoy photography after winning a school competition. She has been working in graphics in some form or another since leaving school (more years ago than she cares to say) and was a freelancer for 18 years. Gillian has always been a keen photographer, belonging to camera clubs and entering competitions and exhibitions over the years.

Since moving to France from her native British soil over 6 years ago, her interest in photography has been renewed. She now has a Nikon D5000 that she uses to capture her images. Combined with her extensive graphics and Photoshop experience, the print on demand industry has given her photography a new lease of life.

The part of France where Gillian resides is very rural, so her subjects mainly reflect that. She also has her own Welsh ponies, alpine goats, and chickens - many of which may be seen on her business card templates.
