Darla Hallmark is a true Artist at heart, believing that human beings have a need for Beauty. Throughout history, humankind has decorated its artifacts, expressing culture and individuality. In our own homes we keep lovely things around to bring us joy, and Darla likes to be a part of that tradition of decorating the World.

Holding a Fine Art degree with a double major in Painting and Drawing as well as a double minor in Photography and Ceramics, Darla knows the artistic world inside and out, but gave up the "fine art" schtick many years ago when she discovered that she enjoyed creating works for reproduction much more than fine art. On her new path, her creativity can be enjoyed by a wider audience and be more useful to those who purchase the beautiful things she makes.

Darla creates a variety of traditional drawings, vector graphics and photographs and has worked as an Illustrator for Fantasy, Science fiction and Erotic literature as well as for Games. Her work has been recognized in this industry and she has even been invited as a guest to conventions where Fans of her work can meet her and ask questions about her work.

In addition to these pursuits, Darla enjoys teaching art, such as a self-improvement course, "Drawing for Non-artists". Her art is not a hobby, it's a profession that extends to every part of her life.
