About Cloudia

Cloudia's photographic experience dates back to using a (functional) Fisher Price film camera as a child. As she grew up, her choice of camera extended naturally into the worlds of film-SLR, digital point-and-shoots, and then digital SLRs. However, it wasn't until 2006 that her photographic style changed from capturing 'moments' to recollect her own memories of events into something very different.

In 2006, Cloudia had travelled to Great Barrier Island in New Zealand for a conference. Great Barrier Island is very sparsely populated and maintains a very 'untouched' environment. One evening while there, Cloudia walked up a hiking trail of a (relatively small) neighboring mountain. At the very top, there was a large rock to stand on in order to see over the dense treetops, revealing breath-taking views in every direction. On one side, the densely vegetated mountains continued. In another direction, she could look down to the bay of the conference location. But most inspiring was looking out towards the sun that was setting over the ocean, and creating silhouettes of the smaller islands nearby.

It was on top of this mountain that Cloudia's passion for photography took a significant turn. For the first time, she realized that she was the only one in the world who was seeing this view in exactly the same way that she was. That became the inspiration behind her photography: to share unique views of the world that others didn't have the chance to see.

Since early 2009, Cloudia has been selling her photography through micro-stock agencies so that her photography may reach a wider environment than she is capable to reach alone. She is very excited to have the opportunity to now be extending her reach through business card templates too. Several of her micro-stock portfolios are listed below, and she is more than happy to turn any of those images into business card templates should the interest arise.
