Chris Willemsen

Chris Willemsen, a Photographer and Illustrator from the Netherlands, has been contributing to stock websites since 2009. He first became interested in Photography as a teenager when he started taking pictures with a small Kodak black and white camera. Today he is happily married with two children and continues to pursue photography as one of his primary passions in life.

At first he only plied his Art while on vacations using Film cameras, but in 2007 he purchased a Nikon D80 and began expanding into digital photography and building his portfolio. Later he upgraded to the D300, a 12.3 megapixel semi-Professional dSLR, and now uses a Nikon D800. The D800 is a 36.6 megapixel professional-grade full-frame dSLR launched in March 2012. Chris uses this camera for most of his work today along with a mix of Sigma, Nikkor and Nikon lenses.

Chris's biggest interest is Nature photography, and most of the pictures he submits to stock agencies are based on nature. He also enjoys Macro Photography, Product photos and sometimes works in illustration as well.
