About Alicia

Alicia Pastiran, now a grandmother, spends as much Time as possible traveling. In 2004, when her youngest child had graduated from high school, she quit teaching high school math and began her adventures. As a bus driver and guide in Yellowstone National Park during the Summer of 2004, she discovered her passion for Photography. After investing in a high quality camera, she began spending much of her off duty time hiking and taking pictures of wildflowers, wildlife, thermal features, and waterfalls. During the next Winter, she enrolled at a local College to continue learning more about photography.

Her adventures continued into the next summer while working at Yellowstone where she continued to refine her photography skills. The two summers following were spent in Alaska.

In 2008, Alicia remarried and took a cruise to the Caribbean. During that trip, she discovered underwater photography and was hooked! She had been Scuba Diving since she was 13, but the addition of underwater photography was something new and exciting to her.

Photoshop, i.e. digital editing and photography skills are areas where Alicia feels there is always room for improvement. She's studying continuously in order to further improve her techniques and skills. Through her photography, Alicia desires to share her vision of the wonderful, amazing World that surrounds us.
