About Norman
I am a freelance photographer living in Fairfax, Virginia, where I have lived for 30 years, and have been working for 25 years on a part-time basis in photography. Now that I am retired, I am devoting more of my time to a variety of photographic pursuits. My photos have appeared in dozens of magazines and books.
I use Nikon equipment, starting out with the FE2, moving to a pair of F100's, and most recently, the D2X and digital lenses. I now create all of my new images with digital photography, though my collection also includes many images scanned from film.
The Subject Matter of Norman's Photography
I focus primarily on travel and wildlife images, but have a large number of "miscellaneous" images in my collection as well. I favor strong images with vivid colors. Recently, I have begun transforming selected images into photo art using Photoshop. I recently took my first Photoshop course after using it for several years, and I expect this will lead in new and exciting directions. I maintain two websites where my photography can be viewed.
