About Denise
I am a stay-at-home mom with one son. My husband is a pharmacist and shares my love of photography. We live in the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee. Actually our city is split down the middle; I was raised on the Virginia side of town and migrated to the Tennessee side when I got married.
I am a Christian and believe that God has given me a creative spirit. I hope not to waste the gift He has given me. I have a Canon Rebel XTI for shooting my subjects. At the moment, I use Photoshop CS2 for my graphics, but I am upgrading to CS3 very shortly. Thankfully I am married to a geek with a son who follows in his footsteps, so computer questions are usually answered in house.

My interest in photography came from my dad, who passed away in March of
2007. He was a Staff Sergeant in the USAF, stationed in Korea in the early 50's. He shot and developed his own images. When he was facing cancer treatments, I began to restore his old black and white shots to keep his mind occupied. As far back as I can remember he always had a camera in his hand. He chronicled our family, our town, and every vacation in photographs. Most of the pictures that my twin brothers and I have of our families are because he took the time to capture our children on film. We are so thankful he did! He taught me to stop and capture the moment; you can never get that time back.

I also design and sell greeting cards, postcards and prints as an exclusive artist for Treasures in Time, an antiques and collectibles store in Bristol, TN. I am also available for custom design work. I am in the process of setting up a website and will update my information here when I get it designed and online. My sincere hope is that I will produce quality designs that entice customers to come back and see new designs I may be offering. Thanks for taking the time to look around!
