What does an Architect do?
An architect is a building design artist. It is their job to envision what their clients want in a home, office or structure and then translate that vision into a physical model. In order to be an architect you need to have a unique set of skills that include: drawing, spatial visualization, construction, legal and communication. Because of the complexity of this profession, architects need to have a four year degree in architecture and be licensed and bonded by their state and local governments.
