Who is Annie Kitzman?
I've been into photography since 1975 when I began shooting with a Nikon 35mm camera. I switched to digital about 8 years ago.
Currently I shoot with several Nikon cameras. My favorite camera is my Nikon D200; but my D70s runs a close second. I shoot my stock images with existing light, no studio shots. I'm a writer and a 'closet designer', meaning I don't tell anyone I like to design; I just do it for my own pleasure and satisfaction.

I shoot senior graduation pictures, real estate images for local realtors, weddings, family reunions, birthday parties, baby showers, engagement photos and more. I love portrait photography too! I also enjoy landscape photography too. Many examples of my work can be seen at my website: www.annieannie.com. I also maintain galleries with about 12 different stock image sites (links to them are on my website).
I also teach basic photography on a one-on-one basis to new photographers in my home town. I'm a very creative and busy woman!
Annie's Views on Different Genres of Photography
"Even ordinary subjects become beautiful when seen through the lens and captured in pixels. Seeing through the lens is magic. Viewing the captured image on my computer monitor gives me an added surprise; the pleasure of noticing things that I cannot see with just my eyes, like the miniscule spider webbing that appears between the leaves and berries on my holly bushes. Photography brings the world closer to me, allowing me to see all its wonders with new eyes and special vision. I cannot explain in words how thrilling the universe looks through my lens, so I just shoot, thank God for this wonderful gift of photography and enjoy."
"What I love about stock still life photography: I love the gathering of objects to be photographed, the arranging and rearranging of everything until I get exactly the composition that appeals to me. I love the challenge of coming up with something pleasing to the eye that I can aim my lens toward, press the shutter, release and capture forever. Finally, I love seeing it on my computer monitor.
