Create QR Code Business Cards that Take Customers to Twitter and Facebook When Scanned
QR Codes can be created that link to specific Twitter accounts and Facebook pages just by entering your username for the account. You may choose to link to a company Twitter account or Facebook page. If you're creating a business card for personal use, then creating a QR Code that links to your personal Twitter account and/or Facebook page is a cool way to network with other folks.
Facebook QR Code Business Cards
For Facebook this requires getting what is called a "vanity url" for your company page or personal profile page. Once you have your Facebook URL, embed it in a QR Code, print it on your business cards and allow card recipients to go to your Facebook page, check out your company and "like" it.
Twitter QR Code Business Cards
You have the option of doing a Tweet QR code, which allows an end user to send the message you choose, or to open your Twitter profile page for them to view your recent tweets and "follow" you with their own Twitter account.
Foursquare QR Code Business Cards
Create a QR Code that opens the particular venue URL. Integration via app readers like Qrafter will allow additional features such as opening the venue in Foursquare or checking in from that particular location.
Foursquare and its ability to broadcast where you are, what you're doing, and whether or not you're the "mayor" of a particular establishment is a great way to keep people informed.
